Choose how to connect

Add the MCP server

  1. Copy the server URL

    No account and no API key. Every tool is read only.

    https://skilld.dev/api/mcp

  2. Add it where you work

    Run this in your terminal:

    codex mcp add skilld --url https://skilld.dev/api/mcp

    Or add it to ~/.codex/config.toml:

    [mcp_servers.skilld] url = "https://skilld.dev/api/mcp"

    Run /mcp in Codex to check the connection.

  3. Ask your agent

    The server returns the run command and the install command for each Skill. It never runs or installs a Skill. You choose what runs.

    Search skilld for a Skill for Tailwind CSS and give me the run command.

Where Agents look on their own

  • /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json lists the skilld-registry Skill. It teaches an Agent to search with the MCP server.
  • /llms.txt links every page on skilld.dev as Markdown.
  • Every Skill page returns its SKILL.md when an Agent asks for text/markdown.
