Run it yourself

Create text-driven visuals in Markdown: charts, diagrams, cards, architecture and page layouts. Charts and analytical views (bar, line, pie, heatmap, correlation, regression); reliability and operations (latency, incident, throughput, cycle time, OKR, standup, on-call); product and finance (funnel, retention, revenue, budget); process and workflow (approval, BPMN); software design and behaviour (class, state machine, sequence, C4); dependencies and impact (dependency graph, ER, causality); system architecture as HTML (layer stack, wings, zones, topology, service catalogue, request paths); infrastructure (cloud, Kubernetes, ETL, network, security, IAM, compliance); governance and people (ArchiMate, org chart, hiring); knowledge and planning (mind map, roadmap, Gantt, migration); documents (comparison, SWOT, memo, policy, catalogue, case study). Use when a document needs a diagram, chart or card. Figures render live. Not for slide decks or math notation. Not recommended: mermaid / canvas / drawio / dot.

Board Committee Charter — Mandate And Cadence (Infographic)

Best for: a governance page stating what a committee decides and how often it meets Avoid when: the reader needs membership and voting rules in detail (use prose) Answers: why this committee exists, what it owns, and its operating rhythm

Data Shape

Four to five lists items, each a governance attribute. desc is the operative sentence — keep it under about 60 characters so the illustration column stays readable.

Key Options

Option Effect
infographic list-row-simple-illus Reserves an illustration slot beside the text
list-row-simple-horizontal-arrow Text-only variant when no illustration is available
list-grid-compact-card Use when there are six or more charter clauses

Pitfalls

  • ❌ Charter clauses pasted verbatim → ✅ one sentence per attribute; the full text lives in the doc
  • ❌ illus set to a missing resource → ✅ omit illustrations rather than referencing absent files
  • ❌ Using it to show committee membership → ✅ that is an org chart, not a charter

Alternatives

Variant Use instead
Policy summary with numbered clauses policy-memo-card.md (HTML/CSS)
Committee membership structure platform-org-structure.md
Ordered governance cycle operating-cycle-loop.md

Figures are text in the Markdown — fenced blocks or bare HTML — and the host viewer renders them live: nothing to pre-render, build or install. Export to html / epub / docx / pdf is optional and needs Node 18+ and Chrome/Chromium, via `npx @markdown-viewer/documd`.
