v4.0 cross-model review (September 27, 2026)
Apply these preferences to drafts from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok when wording is vague or repetitive. Release documentation does not establish vocabulary frequency ratios for the current models; see model coverage and evidence.
Possible padding: ensuring, ensures, highlights, supports, reflects, plays a role in, contributes to. Keep the verb when it describes a real action; otherwise name the action.
Vague role claims: "plays a [crucial/critical/important] role in shaping". Explain the role instead of asserting importance.
Plain-language options: capable of → able to | rather than → a direct comparison when clearer | conversely → but | nevertheless → still
Intensifiers to check: significantly, effectively, directly, increasingly, remarkably, notably. Retain only when the evidence or context supports their meaning.
Abstract wording to check: comprehensive, nuanced, fundamentally, paradigm, in essence, essentially, worth noting, inherent tensions, thoughtful approach, metacognitive. Preserve precise domain terms; cut vague praise or commentary.
Qualification to check: typically, often, sometimes, potentially, usually. Keep genuine uncertainty; remove stacked qualifications that add no information.
Closers: "one thing is clear", "the key takeaway", "at the end of the day", "as X continues to evolve"
Presence or absence of a word or punctuation mark does not establish authorship. Do not extrapolate a legacy model's alleged habits to a newer release.

Replacement Strategy
When you encounter a listed word, don't automatically swap it for a synonym. Check whether it conveys the intended meaning; restructure only when a clearer expression is available.
Before: "The festival serves as a vibrant testament to the region's rich cultural heritage, showcasing the intricate tapestry of traditions."
After: "The festival has been running since 1987. Locals sell handmade pottery and goat cheese from stalls they build themselves each spring."
The fix is never finding a better adjective. The fix is replacing vague praise with specific facts.

Indonesian Replacement Strategy
Kalimat Indonesia dapat terasa birokratis atau seperti terjemahan bila pilihan kata dan susunannya tidak cocok dengan konteks. Ini pemicu untuk memeriksa makna, register, dan suara penulis, bukan klaim tentang semua keluaran AI atau semua teks formal.
